Award objectives:
1- Encouraging geographical research in general, and the geography of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular.
2- Developing and revitalizing geographical thought in all natural, human and technical geographical fields.
3- Developing the scientific and professional performance of Saudi geographers.

Entities eligible to nominate for the award:
1- Departments of geography in universities, colleges and institutes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2- Associations and bodies related to geographical areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
