General Conditions:

 1- The Board of Directors of the Saudi Geographical Society shall form arbitration committees of specialists in each geographical field to study and arbitrate the works submitted for nomination. The decisions of the arbitration committees are final and irrevocable.

2- The Board of Directors of the Saudi Geographical Society has the right to accept or reject any of the nominations submitted.

3- The Board of Directors of the Saudi Geographical Society has the right to block any field of the award if the required conditions are not met for the submitted research.

4- The applicant for the award is not entitled to participate in more than one research, and in more than one field of the award.

5- The ownership of the research, after winning one of the areas of the award, is transferred to the Saudi Geographical Society, and it has the right to print it and dispose of its returns.

Conditions for applying for the award:

The applicant should meet the following conditions:

1- He should be a specialist in the field of geography.

2- To have a master's degree, as a minimum, in the specialization in which he applied for candidacy.

Scientific works that can be submitted for the award:

The candidate can apply for the award in one of the following fields:

1- Authored books.

2- Translated books.

3- Research.

4- Joint research projects.

Award areas:

The award is granted to geographers and geographers in the geographical fields, and the Board of Directors of the Geographical Society is the body empowered to determine the topic for which the award will be awarded each year, and to announce it through its official website and other publishing channels.

Conditions to be met in research submitted for awards:

1- Availability of originality, novelty, and adherence to the rules of scientific research.

2- It should be published (printed).

3- The research should not have previously won any other scientific award (internal or external).

4- The research publication date should not exceed five years.

Award: The award consists of:

1- A financial reward of 5,000 riyals (five thousand Saudi riyals).

2- A certificate bearing the award's name and logo and the winner's name.

3- The Saudi Geographical Society invites the winner to receive the award at a procession ceremony for the General Assembly of the Saudi Geographical Society. The Saudi Geographical Society shall bear the travel and accommodation expenses of the winner.
